BANKING
See risk where it actually forms.
Sovereign AI and Digital Twins for banks and financial institutions operating in West Africa.
Many systems. One balance sheet.
A bank runs on core banking, payments, credit, treasury and compliance systems that rarely describe the same reality. Supervisory reporting is rebuilt by hand, and the view it gives arrives after the fact.
Filao builds the replica of the bank from its own data, within its own jurisdiction. Exposures, flows and decision circuits become visible — and can be tested — before they turn into findings.
USE CASES
Where the twin earns its place
Map exposures across entities. Continuously.
Consolidate credit, counterparty and liquidity data across subsidiaries and systems into one structure, instead of reconciling it at quarter-end.
Build supervisory reporting from a single source.
Derive regulatory reports from the replica, each figure traceable to the transactions behind it — for the supervisors the bank answers to, including the BCEAO and the UMOA Banking Commission within the zone.
Detect leakage and anomalies in flows.
Follow payment and treasury flows end to end to surface duplicate circuits, structural anomalies and operational leakage. The system points; your analysts investigate.
Test a decision before taking it.
Simulate a reorganisation, a new product or a rate scenario inside the twin, and observe its effect on the bank’s circuits before it touches operations.
In a bank, what cannot be traced cannot be defended. Visibility comes before automation.
Your data. Your jurisdiction.
Data residency
Data stays on national territory, under national jurisdiction. It is not routed through third-country infrastructure by default.
Infrastructure
Deployed on-premise or on a sovereign cloud the institution controls, with no dependency on an external party to keep running.
Models
Language models deployed locally, with weights the institution can access and audit. No core function relies on a third-party API.
Access & audit
Access control, audit logging and segregation of duties are built into the architecture — and open to the institution’s own review.
Frequently asked questions
What does Filao Capital do for a bank?
We build a structural replica of the bank from its own systems, then deploy sovereign AI on it to map exposures, trace flows and support decisions on reorganisation or product.
Does the data leave the bank?
No. The twin runs on the bank’s infrastructure or on a sovereign cloud it controls, and the models run locally. No core function depends on a call to a third-party API.
Does it replace our core banking system?
No. The twin connects to existing systems and reads from them. It adds a structural view on top of them; it does not replace them.
Who remains accountable for decisions?
Your teams. Models surface, trace and suggest; validation, decisions and regulatory accountability stay with the institution.
How does an engagement start?
With a scoping conversation under mutual confidentiality. There is no public onboarding process.
See your bank as a single system.
Discuss how the Digital Twin applies to your institution, under confidentiality.
